Dukkha of anxiety

Journal of the Order of Buddhist Contemplatives

Anonymous

Working with the dukkha of intense anxiety and panic attacks led me to meditation. At University I was offered CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to help with this but declined this as it seemed too much like being clinically reprogrammed. At the time I had a boyfriend who was studying Philosophy and he introduced me to Buddhism and Zen. Working in London, I began my own journey within Buddhism.
