It was somewhere towards the end of the afternoon of King’s Day. We were in Amsterdam selling old clothes on the street market to get some extra money for our plan of traveling the world… The boy next to us had a more successful little business. He had a wire loop game where you followed an iron wire with a little loop on the end of a rod.
…I dug up a euro and kneeled down in front of the apparatus.Time stood still. There was nothing but my hand moving very slowly, making miniscule movements. My thinking had fallen away and gave room for a deep focus.
